Join ArtShow Chicago to celebrate the end of Season 4. Mental Health.
Despite our level of “woke-ness” in 2018, mental health remains a subject that is often hushed, misunderstood, and whittled down to stigmas and stereotypes. This summer, ArtShow Chicago is putting a spotlight on the realities of mental health. We are unraveling topics like self-love, acceptance, validity, misdiagnosis, and resilience through the all-baring lens of local art and music.
ArtShow Chicago brings local art to the eyes of the community because we believe in its ability to get people to think differently and feel more deeply. Therefore, each show is given a theme that concentrates attention onto a social cause currently affecting humankind. We’re all about “local,” so a portion of the proceeds raised from the shows always go back into the community. Our single-city approach to sharing art ensures that it comes from just one city and authentically gives light to what that city can offer its people. ArtShow Chicago embraces art in all forms, including live music, comedy, and fashion. We’re creating memorable cultural experiences that are not only accessible but elevating.
ArtShow Chicago’s beneficiary for 2018 is Tye Johnson Artistry, supporting summer camps and after school programs that include poetry, dance, creative writing, and painting.
