Flight Club is an ongoing series highlighting the diverse world of beer and cider. Each class focuses on a single style or brewery and features special guests from the food and beverage industry. 

The inaugural Flight Club will be hosted by Sleeping Village Beverage Director, Brad Buzzi, with special guests Alisha Jones and Alex Bach from Marz Community Brewing, and we’ll be featuring four distinct cheese and beer pairings over the course of the afternoon. 

Class size is limited to 36 participants. Tickets include a beer flight, a full pour, cheese pairings, and a communal charcuterie board to share while mingling with our flight crew and other attendees.

Your Flight Crew: 

Alisha Jones is a bartender and resident Cheesemonger at Marz Community Brewing. Relatively new to the industry, she’s officially been a monger for two years, but has worked behind various counters for seven. Her favorite part of being a cheesemonger is expanding hearts and palates while luring blue cheese haters to the dark side. 

Alex Bach works in sales and marketing at Marz Community Brewing. Before joining Marz full time in 2017, he wrote for Mash Tun Journal, and continues his luponic literary tradition by writing the beer descriptions for most Marz brews. He also writes fiction and screenplays — usually while imbibing a Marz beer. 

Brad Buzzi has over 20 years of experience in the craft beer industry — from beer buying and consulting to being everyone’s favorite bartender. He has an uncanny ability to match beer to a patron and maximize menu offerings to please and expand a wide range of palettes.
