The Edwards are carving a niche in Chicago’s gain-heavy garage-rock scene with their own warm, swingy guitars and breezy melodies. The project has gradually evolved out of a batch of songs and jam sessions led by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Kyle Maurisak to a fully collaborative group comprised of Chicago veterans Emma McCall, Stuart MacFadyen, Chris Murphy, and Chris Deporter. Pulling from an array of influences, the group is honing their own brand of jangly indie rock that fans of Deerhunter, Beach Fossils, and Yo La Tengo are sure to enjoy.
Plus a DJ set from Cadien Lake James (aka DJ Reel Big Tuna) of Twin Peaks.
