Chicago heroes The Eternals have been fearlessly colliding genres for more than 20 years. They are led by vocalist Damon Locks and bassist Wayne Montana. Vocalist Jeanine O’Toole, guitarist Aaron Shapiro, drummer Areif Sless-Kitain, and percussionist Damien Thompson round out the Eternals Sextet, which first came together for a special performance at the 2015 Hyde Park Jazz Festival. Since then the group has continued to develop a highly rhythmic, percussion-heavy sound drawing on funk, jazz, Afrobeat, dub and beyond.
Slipshod features Tim Stine (guitar), Paul Giallorenzo (keys) and Adam Vida (drums). Slipshod plays party music. All three members are deeply involved in the creative music scenes of Chicago, but this band is a good time for them, and you too.
