“Like Samhain but quiet.”

Since playing their first show in October 2019 AITIS BAND have played in Chicago, LA and New York and shared bills with Black Dice, No Age, Man on Man, Parquet Courts, Air Waves, Ryley Walker, Circuit Des Yeux, and played the Mort Garson’s Plantasia event at Garfield Park Conservatory.

Ausikaitis, Burg and Katsaounis continue their collab post-Joan of Arc with keyboardist Ray Borchers on Aitis Band III. Found customer complaints, suicide, post-apocalyptic childcare, and Rockford, IL are subjects expounded upon in this 9 song release. The pandemic’s influence manifests itself in a far heavier electronic/fake guitar presence and a Dead Milkmen cover. Nate Kinsella (Birthmark, American Football) stepped in to produce.

Surgery Boys music is a cinematic vision of the present: equal parts hallucinatory, bleak, feral, empowering. Their combined love of experimental music led the Boys to navigate their way through midi-synced musical explorations. Their latest release on Volutus Records is the “TRANSMISSIONS FROM THE VOID” Series- a total of four releases culled from what they created during winter 2021 recording sessions in Luck, Wisconsin. Surgery Boys are Steve Reidell, Joe Carsello, Johnny Caluya.
