A full apocalyptic orchestra one moment, a lullaby whispered in the listener’s ear the next; Crywolf’s haunting vocals, abstract lyricism, atmospheric beats, and cinematic instrumentals could be the soundtrack to a lucid dream.

Crywolf, otherwise known as Justin Taylor Phillips, is a producer, vocalist, and multi instrumentalist from Los Angeles, CA. One of the first pioneers of the “Post-EDM” movement, his intimate, melodic, avantgarde releases have garnered their own unique following, with a loyalty rarely seen in the world of electronic music.

His releases are no stranger to commercial success either; met with support from international acts such as Ellie Goulding, Skrillex, Bassnectar and more, and covered by major media outlets such as Billboard, Vice, and DJ Magazine. His albums have all charted in the top 3 on itunes, and many have also secured spots on the Billboard charts, with his first full length “Cataclasm” sticking in the Electronic chart’s top ten for two weeks.

After Cataclasm’s success, Crywolf embarked on multiple national headlining tours with dozens of sold out shows, and landed co-headlining spots at major festivals such as Electric Forest, Shambhala and Burning Man.

With his newest release “widow [OBLIVIØN Pt. I]” and it’s upcoming followup “exuvium [OBLIVIØN Pt. II]”, the musical world of Crywolf continues to evolve, while all the while tying itself together with a signature sound that has been described as “cinematic and surreal, a cacophony that sweeps you off your feet, taking you into the dark abyss one moment and into heavenly rapture the next.
