Stephen Steinbrink is an American songwriter and producer. The majority of his youth was spent living an improvised and experimental existence, making music in the fabled west coast DIY music community. Currently living in Oakland, CA, he splits his time between songwriting, production, and his career as a stained glass conservator.
Since 2007, Steinbrink has released eight LPs of his own brand of strange folk pop music on Western Vinyl and Melodic records, and has collaborated onstage and in the studio with Boy Scouts, Dear Nora, Girlpool, AJJ, LAKE, and many others.
Charlie Reed is a Chicago based music group fronted by songwriter Luke Trimble who conducts tactful songs about love, heartbreak, anxiety, and existential dread dressed in early โ70s adornment along with some of Chicagoโs finest musicians. The band collaborates on smart, catchy tunes that conjure feelings of wistful sentimentality.
Jessica Mindrum is an indie folk songwriter based in Chicago, IL. Her EPs, Flickering (2018) and Restart, Begin (2021) each find her reckoning with the realities of life in her early to mid-20s, relying on intimate lyricism and delicate instrumentation. “There’s a Joan Didion quote I always come back to,” Mindrum says, “‘To remember what it was to be me: that is always the point.’
