$1 Beer Night is a weekly concert series that makes going out to hear great music more affordable.
Following in the footsteps of their soulful Chicago forefathers, the five-piece alternative set Holly, breaks it down by adding a sweet, beach & soul vibe to its rock ‘n’ roll background. An eclectic mix of influences from Sharon Jones and Sam Cooke to Wilco and Catfish Haven lends inspiration that is orchestrating soothing tunes with a high energy performance and its working. Their idiosyncratic sound crosses genre barriers and introduces a fresh discovery in Chicago’s musical landscape today.
Chicagoland quintet The Inbetween Days conceptualize a 60’s forward sound, emphasizing harmony-driven songwriting reminiscent of groups like The Zombies, The Redwalls, and The Lemon Twigs.The band has performed alongside Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Modern Vices, Split Single, and so on in addition to being featured on both WXRT (93.1FM) and WKQX (101.1FM). Originally from the Dominican Republic and now based in Chicago, IL, partywatcher has a decade of singing under his belt. His debut EP ‘Tropicalia’ is a collection of all the moments, genres and rhythms that have shaped his musical delivery. His songs are a unique blend of soul, R&B and rock that come heavily influenced by the music dearest to him – the native sounds of his island, merengue, bachata and salsa. The EP is a standout listen, raw and emotional lyrics wrapped in a power-house vocal delivery sure to have listeners bopping, dancing, laughing and crying.
