TC Superstar is a collaborative performance group fronted by Connor McCampbell. McCampbell’s production style is rooted in modern bedroom pop, but alludes to 80’s synthwave and late 70’s dance music. TC Superstar’s live set features high-energy dance performances choreographed by LB Flett, Emily DiFranco, Francis Rodriguez, and Yuriko Roby — all graduates of the dance program at The University of Texas at Austin. Performing musicians include Julio Correa, Mitchell Webb, and Aaron Chavez.
Started in 2016, Uma Bloo is multi faceted project. Focusing on emotive music and character performance, Molly Madden invented an other worldly, immersive artistic experience. Originally a solo project based in burlesque performances and living room shows, Mike Altergott joined in late 2017 enhancing the song’s layered dynamics and propelling the group to new heights. The group has done several installation shows called “Uma’s Room.” At each event an interactive set is built so as to bring the audience into Uma’s world for a night. Uma’s lyrics have been described as “mediations on vulnerability.” While often compared to Nico, Angel Olsen, and Florence and the Machine, Uma Bloo’s music defies traditional genre while enticing crowds into reckoning with their past.
