Originally from Rochester, New York, Cusp relocated to Chicago in 2022. After releasing a stray single with Fire Talk Records and the fuzzy and melodic Spill EP that cemented them as a band to watch in New York, the band released their first LP, “You Can Do It All,” in May 2023. The record is a culmination of the band’s previous releases, working with engineer Scoops Dardaris (Alex G, Another Michael). Cusp further embraced their grungy, alt-gaze sensibilities and stayed true to the haunting riffs and unsettling chords that make the band’s melodic moments all the more satisfying.
