Lewis OfMan w/ Tommaso

Wed, May 17 21:00
From his first compositions at 11 years old on Garageband, to the well-received Yo Bene (2017) and Dancy Party (2021), Lewis OfMan has always prominently featured music that resounds in the distance when the sun is only just starting to sink. With Sonic Poems, the Parisian producer takes a step deeper into the heart of the night. “Let’s get drunk and keep it light” proclaims the song “Misbehave”, which invites us to raise our glass to the mistakes we make when we’ve had too much to drink, to the encounters we make at club exits (“Love Parade”), and to the messages sent in altered states (“Too Much Text”). Tommaso is a vinyl selector born and raised in Florence, Italy now settled in Chicago, the birthplace of house music. What started with his parent's collection of old Italian 45s now has grown into a wide collection of timeless global rarities. His DJ sets are geared towards making each set become its own unique animated being that breathes and pushes forward. Preferring not to put a name to his style, the most he’ll say is that the music he plays can be from any country in this world. He had the pleasure of playing with DJs like Ross From Friends, Dj Boring, Black Loops, Rahaan, Ron Carroll, Gene Hunt, Ray Vazques, The Blessed Madonna, Lego, and Mike Dunn, and he has many more in the books.
