V.V. Lightbody is the solo project of Vivian McConnell, a seasoned songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the thriving Chicago music scene. Her self-produced sophomore LP Make a Shrine or Burn It (Acrophase Records) was released with much anticipation in May 2020. Referred to as ”a masterclass in self-reflection and female autonomy,” the first pressing sold out within 24 hours and received critical acclaim from Noisey, Stereogum, Paste, Gold Flake Paint, Chicago Tribune, and more.

Julia Steiner has been writing songs in the band Ratboys since 2011. Their latest album, a collaboration with producer Chris Walla called The Window, came out in 2023 and captures Ratboys as they were always meant to be heard – expansive while still intimate, audacious while still tender. She loves writing about the Midwest, family and friends, and crazy ass articles she finds on Wikipedia.

Brent Penny is a Chicago based experimental singer-songwriter and musician crafting his personal take on pop. Penny’s sound is informed by various shoegaze, ambient, folk, and experimental components. With deadpan lyrical delivery Penny combines that which is deeply visceral with the surreal.
